Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Spectrum AI Labs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, retains, and protects your personal information when you visit spectrumailab.com and use our content, tools, and newsletter (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- —Information you provide — your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter, contact us, or submit our AI model-picker quiz, together with the answers you give in that quiz;
- —Information collected automatically — basic usage and device data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and approximate location, gathered through analytics and server logs;
- —Cookies and similar technologies — small files used to run analytics and to protect the Site from automated abuse (see “Cookies and Similar Technologies” below).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- —Send you our newsletter and respond to your messages or requests;
- —Provide your AI model-picker quiz results;
- —Understand how the Site is used so we can improve our content and features;
- —Keep the Site secure and prevent spam and automated abuse; and
- —Comply with our legal obligations.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where data-protection law (such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for the newsletter and any non-essential cookies); our legitimate interests (in operating, securing, and improving the Site); and compliance with our legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies — mainly to measure traffic through analytics and to operate Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms from bots. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how some parts of the Site work.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand aggregate traffic patterns — such as which pages are popular and how visitors find us. We use this information in aggregate to improve the Site; we do not use it to identify you personally.
6. Service Providers
We share limited personal data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the Site:
- —Google — website analytics (Google Analytics and Search Console);
- —Cloudflare — bot protection for our forms (Turnstile);
- —Resend — delivery of our newsletter and related emails;
- —Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, where we are legally required to do so (for example, to comply with a lawful request), or where necessary to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Other than active newsletter subscriptions, we retain personal data — such as quiz submissions, contact messages, and analytics and log data — for no more than six (6) months, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed; once you unsubscribe, we remove it promptly.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
We and some of our service providers are based in, or process data in, countries outside your own (including the United States). Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable data-protection law.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- —Access the personal data we hold about you;
- —Ask us to correct or delete it;
- —Object to or restrict certain processing;
- —Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
- —Withdraw your consent at any time; and
- —Unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email.
12. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
